At your in person evaluation we will talk about the top 2 - 3 goals that you have with your dog . Together with our trainers we will create a custom training program fit for you and your dogs needs. (Basic manners and obedience, dog reactivity, fear issues, jumping, aggression, better focus, etc.)

What is a board and train? It is a fully immersive lifestyle dog training program, 5 days a week (pricing is Monday - Friday) at our training center. You will have a private lesson with your dogs trainer at the end of each week before bringing them home to learn what they have been taught.

Your dog will spend multiple hours per day getting one on one interaction & training from professional dog trainers.

Dogs will develop a new foundation & state of mind that will make it easy for you to continue the training at your home. The programs are designed to first teach your dog proper behavior, then teach you how to continue training at home with your included private lessons.

You will see faster results from this training option because your dog learns directly from a canine professional & receives several hours of hands on training each day.

The Smart K9 Training Center is highly secured and monitored by video surveillance 24/7. Our training center has fire, smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide detection.

Individualized Attention: Our trainers MAX at 3 dogs per month.

We are a small batch facility.

We believe every dog is an individual and requires time and attention. Unlike most dog training facilities whose trainers are working with 5 - 15 dogs at a time, our trainers only have 3 training dogs in their care at a time (day training or board and train). They also only take 1 - 2 private lesson clients per day, this way our trainers spend the majority of their day actually working with your dog individually.

This program is NOT designed for dogs who have aggressive behaviors or high levels of fear and anxiety.

This program is perfect for young puppies, giving them a head start to life by bridging communication and preventing behavior issues from occurring. This program is also great for the over excited happy- go- lucky adult dog who needs a some manners.

Minor behavior issues that are covered include over excited jumping, mouthing, barking, insecurity.

A three week board and train includes a free 6 foot leash as well as a free climb. Other training tools may be recommended for purchase at time of pick up.

Four Week

This program is NOT designed for dogs who have overly aggressive behaviors as there is not enough time to establish a relationship and build communication.

This program is perfect for dogs who are displaying behavior issues typically due to fear or pushy behavior.

Reactivity or prey fixation on other dogs, bikes, or humans. Grooming aggression, kennel anxiety, and fearfulness are some examples.

A Four week board and train includes a free 6 foot leash, as well as a free climb, and $25 in store credit. Other training tools may be recommended for purchase at time of pick up.

Behavior Rehabilitation Programs

for dogs needing some extra help..

There is no quick fix in psychology when dealing with flight, flight, freeze behavior responses. As canine behavior specialists it's not uncommon for us to recommend longer training programs for dogs who are struggling with a behavioral issue like fear, anxiety, or aggression. These programs allow us to work at your dogs pace and not add unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation, which can backfire long term.

A longer training program will allow your dog to get comfortable with our facility, make relationships with our staff, develop a routine and structure, unlearn behavior patterns that are unwanted or dangerous, re-learn healthier coping skills and behaviors, as well as give you as owners ample private lessons to learn everything you need to so you can keep up with things at home when training ends.

seven+ Week

This program is designed for dogs who have severe and dangerous behavioral issues.

This program is for dogs who have human aggression, dog aggression, or display severe fearfulness or anxiety.

Bites to dogs and humans. Escaping from kennels. Etc.

Working with real aggression is not like working with basic obedience and requires a very experienced and in depth training protocol.

A 7+ week board and train includes a climb, 6 foot leash, 12 foot leash, prong &/or remote collar system, and treat pouch.

Additional Training days may be necessary and are $152/Day.
