At your in person evaluation we will talk about the top 2 - 3 goals that you have with your dog . Together with our trainers we will create a custom training program fit for you and your dogs needs. (Basic manners and obedience, dog reactivity, fear issues, jumping, better focus, etc.)
Also included in every day training program is..
What is a day training program? Think of it like daycare + Training! For 4 consecutive weeks Monday - Friday you will drop your dog off at our training center between the hours of 7:15 - 8:15am.
We can offer programs that are 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) instead of 5 depending upon your training goals.
Your dog will spend multiple hours per day getting one on one interaction & training from professional dog trainers working on your top 2 - 3 training goals.
.
Dogs will develop a new foundation for learning & state of mind that will make it easy for you to continue the training at your home. This program is designed to first teach your dog proper behavior, then teach you how to continue training at home with your free private lessons.
You will then pick up your dog between 5:15 - 6:15pm.
At the end of each week you and your family will come in for a private lesson to learn how to follow through with what your dog has been learning over the week, and what homework to complete throughout the weekend.
You will see faster results from this training option because your dog learns directly from a canine professional & receives several hours of hands on training each day.
The Smart K9 Training Center is highly secured and monitored by video surveillance 24/7. Our training center has fire, smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide detection.
We believe every dog is an individual and requires time and attention. Unlike most dog training facilities whose trainers are working with 5 - 15 dogs at a time, our trainers only have 3 training dogs in their care at a time (day training or board and train). They also only take 1 - 2 private lesson clients per day, this way our trainers spend the majority of their day actually working with your dog individually.
This program is NOT designed for dogs who have severe aggressive behaviors or very high levels of fear and anxiety.
At your weekly private lesson, there may be tools that your trainer recommends purchasing. These tools can range from $15 - $250 and are things like a training appropriate leash, climb, or collar.
We also offer longer day training visits for dogs who need a bit more time or are struggling with a behavioral issue that is to be addressed.

There is no quick fix in psychology when dealing with flight, flight, freeze behavior responses. As canine behavior specialists it's not uncommon for us to recommend longer training programs for dogs who are struggling with a behavioral issue like fear, anxiety, or aggression. These programs allow us to work at your dogs pace and not add unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation, which can backfire long term.
A longer training program will allow your dog to get comfortable with our facility, make relationships with our staff, develop a routine and structure, unlearn behavior patterns that are unwanted or dangerous, re-learn healthier coping skills and behaviors, as well as give you as owners ample private lessons to learn everything you need to so you can keep up with things at home when training ends.
